Water
On a small island like Bocas del Toro, water is a precious resource.
We kindly ask you to use it carefully and avoid waste.
In the shower, please turn off the water while soaping.
In the kitchen, please be mindful of your water use when washing dishes. Before leaving, please make sure both kitchen sink faucets are fully turned off.
Municipal water is usually received once a day and stored in a tank.
When the tank is empty, we may have to wait until the next day, or sometimes even two or three days, before receiving water again.
Thank you for helping us take care of it.

Hot water
The water heater is located to the left of the toilet. It may have switched off, as even a brief power outage can cause it to shut down as a safety measure. Restarting it is very simple: just press the button located at the bottom center to turn it back on. You will see the indicator lights come back on.
The water heater is the same model as the one in the photo, but in black.

Toilet flush returns
Please make sure the toilet flush returns to its normal position after use.
If it stays out of place, the water may keep running and unnecessarily empty the tank.
Thank you for your attention.

Toilet paper
Bocas’ sewage system is fragile.
Please throw toilet paper in the bin, not in the toilet.
A $50 service fee will be charged if we have to come and unclog it.

Air conditioning
Please turn off the air conditioning when you leave the casita.

Light switch
Kitchen and terrace: to the left of the door.
Bedroom: to the right of the door.
LED lamp: the remote control is on the living room table, next to the TV remote
String lights: to the left of the door.
We recommend leaving the string lights on in the evening if you go out into town.

Smart TV
You have access to the Smart TV. To use it, simply cast the content from your phone to the screen.
The remote control is on the living room table

Bed sheets & Extra towels
Bed sheets
You will find a clean set of bed sheets in the wardrobe to the right of the bed.
Extra towels
You will find two extra bath towels under the bathroom sink.

Gretha the cat
You may have the pleasure of meeting Gretha, an adorable stray cat who is warm and very friendly, and who comes by to visit us from time to time. Food is always available on the kitchen sink for anyone who would like to give her some, but please do not feel obligated to feed her. We simply ask that you do not let her into the casita.
Enjoy meeting Greta vibe!

Gas tank
Before every check-in, we make sure there is enough gas for the duration of your stay. If you happen to run out, just message us on WhatsApp and we will resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
Please note that the gas valve lever shown on the left side of the image must be in the horizontal position for the gas to flow.
